A: It takes about 5 minutes (10 at the most) to register.

Q: Who can register to this website?
A: Anyone can register to this website, from any country of the world. We are a global panel. Hence, residents from all over the world are welcome, provided they can write and understand the English language properly. Nonetheless, in order to be eligible to join the panel, you must be at least 16 years old.

Q: Do I need to be a certain age to register?
A: You need to be at least 16 years old to register.

Q: I'm registered and I still haven't received any survey invitation. Is it normal?
A: Surveys are randomly assigned to panel members with certain demographic characteristics as determined by the information provided in the profile. If you haven't received any survey invitation yet, you can expect to receive one in the near future.

Q: I'm not a member, but someone in my household is. Can I complete their surveys?
A: Each survey invitation is strictly personal; you cannot complete any of the surveys, on behalf of a member of your household.

Q: How long does it take to terminate my membership?
A: CONSUMER WORLDWIDE will process all requests to terminate membership promptly. However there could be up to a one-month gap between your request and the termination of your membership, meaning that you may receive further emails for a limited period after making your request.




Rewards

Q: What types of rewards do you offer?
A: We usually offer 3 main types of rewards, depending on the survey type and length. You can either get a gift, a gift certificate or a little bit of cash ($5-100). To learn more about rewards, click here.

Q: How do I know what type of reward I should get?
A: The type of reward is ALWAYS explicitly mentioned in the invite email you receive prior to taking the survey.

Q: Under what conditions do members get rewarded?
A: We only reward members that have fully completed the survey they were invited to take.

Q: How long does it take to receive rewards?
A: If the rewards are mailed to you, whether it's a gift or a gift certificate, it usually takes 4-6 weeks to receive it after the survey closes. If your reward is transferred via Paypal, it usually takes 2-3 business days, one week at the most.

A: It widely varies quarter by quarter. You can expect to receive a survey invitation once a quarter on average.

A: Surveys are randomly assigned to panel members with certain demographic characteristics as determined by the information provided in the profile. We do not interview each panel member every time. If you have yet to receive your first survey or have not received a survey recently, you can expect to be surveyed sometime in the near future.

Q: What type of surveys do you usually run?

Q: Who are your clients?
A: Typically, our clients are well-known Fortune 500 or mid-size companies. We do not reveal specific clients to our panelists because, knowing the client's identity could bias our panelists' opinions during survey participation.

Q: What type of products will I be likely to review?
A: You'll be invited to review a wide range of products including food, beverages, packaged goods, spirits, cosmetics and beauty products, financial and insurance products, electronics, home appliance and furniture, personal care products, baby care products, websites, magazines, TV shows, video games, etc.

Q: What are bulletin board focus groups?
A: A bulletin board focus group is an online interactive forum, gathering up to 20 people on a secure platform online to discuss and interact about products, services or topics.

Q: After I am invited to take a survey, how long do I have to complete it?
A: We close surveys after we have reached our quota of responses, which varies by survey. Some surveys, depending on the topic (some are highly popular) and the reward (some are higher than others), close sooner than others. We recommend you take the survey as soon as possible, if you really wish to participate.

Q: Do you ever send out products to members for testing? Do we get to do any product testing?
A: We occasionally send products home to our members for testing. We only send products to members who have consented to give their opinion and feedbacks about the product in a follow-up survey.

A: Consumer research is a kind of applied sociology that concentrates on understanding the preferences, attitudes, and behaviors of people towards the products and services that are marketed to them.

It helps companies around the world develop and improve the products and services they offer, design new ideas and concepts, test their marketing material (ads, newsletter, website, etc.), and make the right business decisions to satisfy their customers' needs.

To help them in their decision-making process, companies recruit marketing research firms that collect and analyze relevant, accurate and reliable consumer information.

Q: What is an online panel?
A: An online (access) panel is a group of registered Internet users, who have agreed to take part in market research surveys and studies on a regular basis.

Q: What is the purpose of the panel?
A: By understanding people's reactions and perceptions of their products and services, businesses can improve them and make your everyday life better.

Q: What is a focus group?
A: A focus group is an interactive and lively discussion moderated by at least one individual, and gathering usually 8-10 people with similar tastes or interests around the table. Some marketing research firms hold this discussion in specific facilities; we hold it online on a specific secure platform. Online focus groups, in the forum format, are also called bulletin board focus groups (BBFG).

Q: Why should I participate in surveys?

A: All personal information regarding our members, including survey responses, are kept strictly confidential. We only share your survey answers in aggregate, anonymous form, which means that the shared information will not contain or be linked to any information that personally identifies you.

Q: Why do you ask questions such as age, gender, income, etc.? Don't you have this on file?
A: We need this information for mainly 3 reasons: we want to make sure our panel is well-balanced, and represents each age group, profession, geographic area, etc.; we want to match you with the most appropriate surveys; sometimes, we need to recruit panelists with specific characteristics to satisfy our clients' requirements.

A: Try and copy the link from your email into the browser address box and press enter. This will take you directly to the survey page. Ensure you copy the entire web address into the browser as sometimes the link can spread over two lines.
